A Yew Wood Low Windsor Chair Rockley Maker

A Good 19th century Low Back Windsor Chair in Yew Wood with an Elm Seat it has a crinolin stretcher. the condition is excellent and it has a pleasing colour and patina. Made in the village of Rockley North Nottinghamshire by Either George Nicholson or Fred Walker who both carried on the tradition of Windsor Chair making which was started there in C 1825 by William Wheatland who was a lay preatcher who built a Methodist chapel in the village.
