Yew Wood Windsor Chair stamped Fred Walker Rockley

A Fine Yew Wood low Windsor armchair from the workshop of Fred Walker, Fred worked along side George Nicholson and eventually taking over the running of it after Nicholson retired, Rockley is a tiny village in North Nottinghamshire where both men where involved in the Wesleyan Methodist chapel built by the first chair maker there William Wheatland (c 1827).
This fine chair is in excellent condition with a good colour and patina, the seat is stamped F Walker Rockley.
