A Good Yew Wood Windsor Chair Rockley Maker

A Very Good Windsor Low Back Chair in Yew Wood with an Elm Seat it has the crinoline stretcher typical of the Nottingham Chairs made in this period, this chair is from the workshop of George Nicholson who took over from William Wheatland in circa 1830, William built the workshop and a Methodist Chapel in the hamlet of Rockley in circa 1825. This chair is in excellent condition and retains a beautiful colour and Patina gained through years of wax polishing.
