A Super Yew Wood Windsor Chair by Gabbitass

A very Rare High Back Windsor Chairin Yew wood with an Elm Seat Probably by John and Elizabeth Gabbitass a prominant Chair Maker of Worksop Nottinghamshire. This chair has all the hallmarks of the gabbitass tradition of highest quality Windsor CHairs in addition it has turned and shaped rear crinoline stretcher supports something i have never seen before. the leg turnings and splat piercings are the best. a super chair in Excellent condition, it has a very pleasing colour and patina and has only been waxed prior to selling
